Nottingham Trent University has installed AV in two new lecture theatres. The theatres are equiped with whiteboards, lecterns, video projection, sound, videoconferencing and a remote help system. The technician, in an office a quarter of a mile away, can intervene through a local area network (LAN).
The technician is able to see and hear what is happening in each lecture theatre due to remote cameras and a telephone link-up. He has the same screen on his desk as the control touch-screen and can see problems which are flagged up and over-ride user errors.
